June 2016 Sci-Fi Releases From Spartan Games

Spartan Games has announced the June 2016 slate of releases, which include the Omnidyne for Firestorm Armada, deluxe flight tokens for Halo Fleet Battles, and a tournament kit for Firestorm Armada.

First up, Omnidyne Special Operations (to give them their full name), a marauder organisation sympathetic to the Zenian League but willing to work with the Kurak Alliance for a higher price. The Omnidyne Patrol Fleet is the “starter” for a standalone fleet, or can be added to a Zenian or Kurak fleet.

Next up, the big bad Foundry-class dreadnought, accompanied by two Synergy-class corvettes.

Next is the Omnidyne Reinforcement Group, which contains 6 Synergy-class corvettes, 4 Representative-class light cruisers, and components to modify the light cruisers into escort cruisers.

Finally, the Omnidyne Support Group contains 6 Synergy-class corvettes and 4 Leverage-class cruisers to add tier 3 and tier 2 options to an Omnidyne fleet.

The OSO are considered natural allies to the Directorate, which opens up interesting options together with Works Raptor, the other Directorate natural ally. Be aware thought that you can’t combine Work Raptor and OSO ships into the same fleet (because they hate each other!).

Next, a product that was frequently requested by the Halo Fleet Battles community, flight token upgrades! Both the UNSC and the Covenant will get upgraded tokens.

Finally, Firestorm Armada will get a tournament kit for use in organised play events. There are any images of the kit’s contents at the moment, but looking at the Halo Fleet Battles tourney kit should give you an idea of what to expect.

No actual date in June is given for these releases, but given how Spartan usually releases new stuff on the last Wednesday of the month, it’s probably a safe bet that all these goodies will be released on June 29th.
